3. How and why we use your personal information

We are committed to both minimizing the data we collect and limiting its use and purpose to only that (1) for which we have been given permission, (2) as necessary to deliver our Services, or (3) as we might be required or permitted for legal compliance or other lawful purposes. These uses include:

3.1. Delivering, improving, updating and enhancing our Services

We collect various information relating to transactions you make on our Site, and your use of and/or interactions with our Services. We use this information to:

  • Improve and optimise the operation and performance of our Services;
  • Diagnose problems with and identify any security risks, errors or enhancements to our Services;
  • Detect and prevent fraud and abuse of our Services and systems;
  • Collect aggregate statistics about use of the Services;
  • Understand and analyse how you use our Services and what products and services are most relevant to you.

Often, much of the data collected is de-identified or aggregated in ways that do not personally identify you. Examples of such aggregated information or statistical data include information about interactions of the Site (e.g. page views) or customer profiling (e.g. demographics or location information).

3.2. How we share your data

i. Sharing with trusted third parties for operational purposes

We outsource certain aspects of our business to trusted third parties. For example:

  • Fulfilling rewards (e.g. delivering giveaway boxes);
  • Processing credit card payments;
  • Communicating with you, such as by way of email or survey delivery;
  • Customer relationship management;
  • Marketing campaigns.

We only share your personal data as necessary for any third party to provide the services as requested or as needed on our behalf. These third parties are subject to confidentiality agreements with us and other legal restrictions that prohibit their use of the information we provide them for any other purpose except to facilitate the specific outsourced OhVenus-related operation, unless you have explicitly agreed or given your prior permission to them for additional uses.

ii. Third-party websites

Our Site contains links to third-party websites, such as social media websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of third-party sites. Please read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

Certain areas on our site contain embedded videos, served by https://www.youtube.com. Visiting these pages results in YouTube being sent data about your browsing activity.

iii. Sharing with partners for marketing purposes

When you purchase a reward from a partner project, OhVenus will ask whether or not you consent to receiving marketing emails from the partner. We'll only share your personal details with a partner if you opt-in to receive communications from it. Note that the partner will need to receive your personal data to send you emails you consent to receive.

When we pass your information to our partners, they also become a controller with respect to such personal data. This means that they're responsible for their own compliance with data protection laws when they use your personal data, and all such use is subject to the partners' own privacy notice. OhVenus is not responsible for partners' use of your personal data or the partners' compliance with applicable laws.

If you want to change your preferences for a partner to use your data (to contact you or otherwise), please contact the partner directly. Contact xoxo@ohhhvenus.com for their contact information.

Please note we cannot reflect any changes in your consent preferences that you make directly with the partner. For example, if you opt in to receive emails from a partner when you order through OhVenus, but then you subsequently opt out by telling the partner, OhVenus won't have a record that you opted out of receiving emails from that partner.

Our site might offer publicly accessible forums such as Q&As and comment section on articles.
